Sleep Problems?

Why should you be concerned about your sleep?
Contrary to what most people think, sleep is not a time of inactivity, at least when it comes to your brain and body regulation. It is not the same as turning off a switch or shutting down.

How can we help you?
If you have come to this site, you are likely concerned about your sleep. Unlike some sleep centres, we treat the entire array of sleep disorders.

What can you expect?
Once you contact the York Region Sleep Disorders Centre, you will be offered an opportunity to see one of our Sleep Specialists. During this consultation, an in depth history will be taken to better understand your concerns as they relate to sleep.

What kind of tests might I have?
Our tests include: Overnight Polysomnography, Overnight CPAP Titration Study, Next Day Multiple Sleep Latency Test, and Next Day Maintenance of Wakefulness Test.
What kind of sleep disorder might I have?
While there are almost 100 different sleep disorders, the most common are Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) or Insomnia.
